Fall 2023 - What To Expect Next

The Fall 2023 Season will be here before you know it! We are excited to have you join us and appreciate your support.

Communication is key to ensure the success of the league. Over the course of this season, we will be sending you emails with information you will need this season. Due to this being a mass email system, please check your filters to make sure that messages do not get lost in your junk mail folder.

Included are answers to some common questions you may have.

Fall registration opens May 1st, and closes August 31st. After the registration deadline, late registration is based upon availability and is not guaranteed. Once registration is full we will build a wait list and fill openings from the waitlist on a first come - first served basis. A $25.00 increase in registration will apply and you will be placed on any team that has openings in your grade division. Buddy requests are less likely to be met during late registration.

 



IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE FALL 2023 SEASON:
 
MAY 1ST, 2023:
Fall registration begins.
 
AUGUST 31ST, 2023:
 Initial registration closes. Today is the last day for a guaranteed spot on a team.
 
SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2023:
 Late registration opens based on availability per age division. Spots will be limited. Coach and buddy requests are less likely to be met. A $10 late fee will apply to each player's registration.
  
SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2023 UNTIL 1 WEEK PRIOR TO START OF SEASON: 
We will be forming teams, confirming coaches, creating schedules, and more during this time.  
 
1 WEEK PRIOR TO START OF SEASON: 
All final rosters and schedules will be posted. All late registration openings will be fully closed and any waitlist players will be canceled as we will no longer accept any more player registrations at this time.

WEEK OF OCTOBER 1ST, 2023: 
The player's jersey, flags/flag belt, and optional merchandise purchased during registration will be arriving at the shipping address provided with registration. 
 
OCTOBER 3RD, 2023 @ 7:00 PM EST - MANDATORY VOLUNTEER TRAINING: 
Virtual meeting for all volunteer coaches and team managers for all Florida league locations. Volunteers will receive a Coach's shirt and a game ball once their background check clears and they have been assigned to a team after our initial registration closes. A separate email will be sent out to RSVP for the meeting with the Zoom link.
 
OCTOBER 8TH, 2023: Meet & Greet -
Times and locations are posted 1 week prior to the start of the season. Teams will meet the coaches for 30 minutes and then participate in their first 1-hour practice. Bring your mouthguard, jersey, and flag belt/flags!
 
OCTOBER 15TH, 2023: 
1st week of games. Practice is held 1 hour PRIOR to the game time listed on the schedule each week.
 
NOVEMBER 19TH, 2023:
 The last week of the season will be our Madden Playoffs. All teams will have at least one game scheduled today. Exact schedules for this date will be posted after standings are finalized. Madden teams may play an additional game for the championship game after the playoffs.  Please note that Lombardi and Shula games may be adjusted to accommodate the playoffs schedule.
 
NOVEMBER 26TH, 2023:
 
NO PRACTICES/GAMES DUE TO THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY.
 
DECEMBER 3RD, 2023*: 
League make-up date in case of inclement weather or facility issues during the season. Need to be determined by National Flag Football Management. 

EQUIPMENT:

*Jerseys, Flag Belts, and a mouth guard must be worn each week
. Your jersey and flags, plus any additional merchandise you ordered during your registration, will be shipped directly to your home. Your player must have a mouth guard to participate. Bring your own, or conveniently purchase at the Game Day Tent for $5.

*Shorts and/or sweatpants without pockets are to be worn during games. If a participants wears shorts/pants with pockets, the pockets need to be taped down to prohibit players' hands or fingers from getting caught in them when pulling flags. 

*Participants can wear any type of plastic molded cleats or sneakers.

COMMON QUESTIONS:

WHEN WILL I HEAR FROM MY COACH? You should hear from your coach no later than the day of our virtual coaches meeting on TBD.

WHAT ARE THE RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOLS? Please  visit here to read about our safety initiatives to protect your family this season.  

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY EQUIPMENT? Once we complete putting teams together, we will ship the rosters to our inventory department who will begin to pack and ship out individual equipment to each player. You should expect your NFL FLAG jersey, flag belts, and any other equipment you may have purchased no later than your scheduled Meet & Greet. You must bring a mouth guard to every practice and game. They will be available at the field for $5 each week.
